Regent's Family
Welcome to Regent’s Family
Regent’s International School, Bangkok is committed to fostering an excellent home and school partnership, and this is key priority in the school’s Strategic Plan 2023-2030. As parent representatives, we wish to work closely with the school to develop this partnership further and enhance the support we can, together, provide for our children. Therefore, in June 2023, we agreed to organise a formal parent organisation, Regent’s Family (also known as RFAM).
All parents of students at Regent’s are welcome as members of RFAM. We are here to ensure your experience as a family in the school is a rewarding and enjoyable one and that you feel welcome and included in our community.
What is RFAM?
RFAM includes all parents and carers in the school. It works closely as a team and is led by a committee made up of parent representatives from each year group. Parent Representatives are a group of parent volunteers who work with the leadership team of the school to enhance communication between home and school as well as to represent the views of parents in various aspects. We meet regularly with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT); therefore, we work together to support parents as a crucial part of the school.
Purpose of RFAM
RFAM aims to foster a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for all through events by promoting a strong sense of community spirit in the school as well as connecting members of our community and providing support, information, resources, and friendship to foster a warm, vibrant, and nurturing community and create transparency in Regents Family finances and use of resources.
Regent’s Family works with the school community
RFAM collaborates with school events, where Regent’s parents can contribute their passion and interests in order to support our school’s activities that enrich students and parents’ experiences at school throughout the year.
Here are some examples of our work:
Regent’s Family welcome meeting – Hosted by RFAM is the formal welcome for all parents at the beginning of the school year, particularly for parents who have recently joined our parent community as Regent’s Family. To get to know other parents and make new relationships that will ensure a strong home-school-parents in partnership.
Halloween – This is the main event which is completely organised by parents. The Halloween activity is one of the great celebrations and traditions in the Regent’s calendar and we provide a superb experience for students and their families.
Coffee Mornings – Throughout the year we support and participate in parent coffee mornings. These events connect the parents both with each other and the school.
